Troubleshooting of piston ring wear If the diesel hammer does not reach the prescribed height, it may be because the air pressure in the combustion chamber is too low. You should check the piston rings of the upper and lower pistons. If the piston rings are found to be worn, they should be replaced in time.
Excessive penetration of the pile excludes that the penetration of the pile into the ground is too fast, which will cause rapid separation of the upper and lower pistons when they collide, and the temperature and pressure of the compressed air in the combustion chamber cannot be maintained to ignite and explode the diesel. Remedy: Set the fuel pump to the zero gear, raise the upper piston, and hit the air several times until the penetration of the pile is within the normal range, and the pile hammer can start normally.
